A new opportunity has arisen for a Bank ODP (Operating Department Practitioner) to join our fantastic team at Southampton NHS Treatment Centre.

Responsible To

Theatre Manager

Key Responsibilities

You will work under the Theatre Manager to maintain safe levels of patient care throughout any surgical or anaesthetic procedure, the practitioner must have current and adequate level of knowledge, competence, understanding and skill in the field of anaesthesia

You will be responsible for assisting with planning, implementing and assessing care of patients and ensure that standards are met as per national and local guidelines, including National Frameworks.

Qualifications

RGN or ODP
NVQ Level 3 in Operating Department Practice

Relevant & recent experience in an operating theatre, anaesthetics and recovery room
knowledge of current research, key issues and development in theatre practice
