Job Description

Are you keen to take on a new challenge in an enviable working environment?

We are seeking a registered nurse, with significant experience in a clinical management role to manage the day to day running of our inpatient/day case ward.

We care for patients undergoing most elective surgical procedures (except cardiothoracic and neurosurgery). We also have patients undergoing medical procedures including Chemotherapy. The role involves direct patient care as well as managing a team of highly qualified nurses. Working at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital in Chester you will work directly with consultants who are experts in their field. You will be able to use your existing knowledge to make a valuable contribution to the patient’s experience.

You will also be part of the Clinical Heads of Department team and will use your management skills working with other senior leader to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital.

We are about to embark on an exciting new theatre build which will include a daycase facility and an ambulatory suite. This will result in some temporary disruption to the way the ward works and you will need to be flexible with strong change leadership and management skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, effective working relationships are essential, as is a strong customer focus and a desire to deliver the highest standards of care.
You will need to have experience of managing budgets and resources as well as a desire to continually improve processes and standards. With a customer service focus to your patient care you should be personable with good communication skills.

In return we can offer you continuous professional development, a competitive salary and benefits including free health screening, healthcare insurance, contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers and much more.
