Closing Date: 05 Mar 2017

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Hours Per Week: 35

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation's heart charity with a mission to lead the fight for every heartbeat through pioneering cardiovascular research. We fund thousands of scientists carrying out more than half the UK's cardiovascular research and our work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are helping to change the face of the UK's fight against heart disease.

We are recruiting a new Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Clinical Development Coordinator for the West Midlands to help deliver improved patient outcomes through the convening of local communities of practice, the delivery of targeted education programmes and influencing service redesign and integrated care pathways.

Reporting to the Health Services Engagement Lead and working closely with the Clinical Development Coordinator for the East Midlands, you will develop CVD regional intelligence and gap analysis to inform areas of greatest need whilst also continuously seeking to improve patient outcomes within the geographical patch through collaboration with local partners in your area and key teams within the BHF, ensuring best practice around CVD and that the needs of CVD patients are met. You will also contribute to the identification, development and promotion of professional training and standards for cardiovascular disease.

The successful applicant will be a registered and practicing CVD Healthcare Professional (Nurse, Allied Health Professional) and will have experience at working within a CVD clinical environment. You'll have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and be able to engage and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and key decision makers across health and social care to ensure we deliver the best possible service.

Please note these are home based role covering the West Midlands primarily (including Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Dudley, Solihull, Walsall, West Bromwich & Coventry) with occasional nights away from home and weekend work as required.

Interviews will be held on 14th March 2017 at our head offices in London
