Donor Centre Manager (Senior Sister)

Band 7 - £31,383 to £41,373 pa plus Inner London Higher Cost Area Supplement of 20% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £4,158 and a maximum payment of £6,405.

Permanent, 75 Hours per fortnight

This role is critical to our future success and an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced nurse with a proven track record of leadership. Working closely with the Area Manager you will provide expert leadership to your Blood Donation team.

As a highly visible leader you will lead from the front; ensuring that high quality, safe and effective care is provided by your team at all times. You will need to juggle management and clinical priorities ensuring the smooth running of the team and a balanced delivery of high performance across operational targets, clinical standards and regulatory compliance. You will have the time to work alongside your team and act as a role model, demonstrating what it takes to deliver great donor experience and customer care. Your excellent communication skills and clarity of vision will allow you to create a culture of continuous improvement.

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is an integral part of the NHS. Operating a network of centres across England and North Wales, we collect around 2 million units of blood and tissues a year, converting them into safe and effective blood components, blood and tissue products for use in the treatment of patients.

We are looking to recruit to two positions and the working hours for each role will be 75 per fortnight. The positions are also eligible for the Inner London Higher Cost Area Supplement of 20% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £4,158 and a maximum payment of £6,405.
