BMI Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is part of BMI Healthcare, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Consulting Suite department.
This is a PART time role for 36 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 6months.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered General Nurse with NMC registration
- Knowledge and experience of urology specialty required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational and planning abilities
- Able to demonstrate clinical credibility with healthcare professionals.
- Post registration experience
- Previous experience working in an outpatient area or equivalent (desirable).
- Venepuncture skills or desire to undertake training
Duties of this role include:
- To provide an efficient outpatient nursing service within BMI Ross Hall Hospital
- To ensure that standards of patient care are consistently maintained at all times in accordance with the agreed operational polices as a skilled member of the suite nursing team.
- To promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of all patients, employees and visitors.
- To promote a positive culture of team support and interprofessional working within the department
- To offer a comprehensive nursing service to the patients and Consultants who are using the outpatient facilities in the hospital.
- To perform nursing duties as requested e.g. urology, dressings, suture removal, chaperoning, venepuncture, minor procedures and patient pre assessments
