BMI Healthcare’s Hendon Hospital has a vacancy for a Clinical Services Manager to join their team of staff in the Inpatients department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Normally office hours, but evenings and weekends may be required.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • RGN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification.
  • Experienced in acute nursing care.
  • Ability to lead a nursing team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of HR management.

Duties of this role include:

  • Responsible for organisation and management of Ward and Pre-Assessment within Hendon Hospital.
  • Responsible for delivering a governance framework within own area of responsibility.
  • The requirement of clear direction and leadership and therefore the responsibility for the development, motivation and performance of all staff.
  • Undertake departmental HR activities
  • Delegate appropriate activities to other staff
  • Maintenance of professional, cost-effective nursing service including financial management and business planning.
  • Achievement of CQC Standards as required for nursing services.
  • Achievement of labour management target, nursing costs KPI and the requirement to ensure appropriate skill mix.
  • To promote and safeguard the well –being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors.
  • Providing leadership and management to nursing teams.
  • Ensuring efficient nursing service is maintained.
  • Actively participate in decision-making processes and business development of BMI Hendon.
