£23,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience

You will provide exemplary care for patients before, during and after their surgery by supporting the management and organisation of care in the operating theatre while providing hands-on clinical assistance. You’ll support the Theatre Manager to maximise the use of theatres and promote the development of a learning culture within the team and the hospital. From setting up perioperative equipment for routine and emergency surgical equipment to using the camera during Minimal Access Surgery (MAS) and embedding new practice developments into the team, you’ll be fully involved in patient care.
 
A role model for other team members, you’ll be a qualified operating departmental practitioner with an advanced scrub practitioner qualification in perioperative practice. Confident challenging consultants to enhance practice, you’ll bring considerable experience of working as an advanced perioperative practitioner in and across surgical teams. A comprehensive understanding of health and safety and infection control requirements will be essential, but most important of all will be your passion for caring.
