Job Description

Lead Nurse Hospital Infection Prevention and Control
Part Time – 2 days a week
Competitive Salary

Maintaining the highest standards is a key priority at Spire Healthcare. From employing the best staff to continually investing in the state-of-the-art equipment, modern facilities and cutting-edge treatments, we believe in giving the absolute best to our valued patients. It’s for this very reason that we’re increasingly being recognised as a champion of the healthcare scene, and with more than 50 hospitals and clinics in our portfolio – and continuing to grow – it’s a model that we’re proud to say is working well.

Bringing meticulous levels of care to this role in Nottingham, you will take on the crucial job of preventing and controlling infections. Continually updating practices and policies, you will ensure they’re being successfully implemented with every patient. Assessing individual patient risks and explaining how to reduce them and relevant interventions, you will develop care plans and interpret microbiological results.

This role is particularly appealing because of its scope to reach all departments within the hospital, meaning you’ll quickly be on first name terms with the entire team. As such, you will need to have fantastic interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to construct written reports and no-nonsense guidelines. As a registered nurse with a teaching and assessment qualification plus an accredited module in infection prevention and control, you will have (or be willing to undertake) a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. You will also have Equipment and Medical Devices Competences. A genuine passion for great customer service will be the icing on the cake.

This varied role will never get dull, so you’ll have the opportunity to use your excellent IT and audit skills to provide a safe and happy environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Join us today and make a difference that really does matter.
