Job Description

Paediatric Lead Nurse Advisor
Wrexham
Advisory Role – 10 hours a month
Salary: competitive dependent on experience

Perfect alongside your current Clinical role.

When you become a highly-valued member of the Spire Healthcare team, you’re setting yourself up for unparalleled prospects. That’s because we believe in nurturing and developing talent wherever possible, providing solid mentorship and training opportunities that will define your career. We do this in an exceptional environment in which the most skilled staff use state-of-the-art technology – with every member of the team encouraged to put the wellbeing of their patients above all else. It’s a healthcare model that we’re proud to boast about, and now you can join us.

Working at Spire Yale Hospital, you will provide clinical and managerial leadership to your team as they offer planned care to children aged 0 to 18 years. Taking every child’s case as a unique opportunity to enhance their quality of life, you will work with their families to assess their needs, documenting your findings meticulously. Deciding on a plan of action, you will then ensure that the patients are receiving the highest levels of care, guiding your team by demonstrating your own excellent clinical skills. Encouraging the development of your staff and furthering your own professional knowledge too, you will look for ways in which we can continue to improve our services, including using any new techniques and tools that are most appropriate to the children’s health needs.

As a registered Sick Children’s Nurse with a degree-level qualification in a clinical specialism, you will have child protection level 3 and will have completed EPLS/PALS training. With good paediatric experience, you will have all mandatory training requirements and competencies under your belt, fully complemented by the level of empathy needed to deal with our young patients. Keen to share your expertise and knowledge, you will have experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, and if you have experience of the independent sector, that would be an added bonus – but isn’t strictly necessary.

This is a unique advisory role in which you can make a dramatic difference to the lives of your patients and the careers of your staff, so if you’ve got what it takes to lead this dynamic, friendly and enthusiastic nursing team, then we’ve got the perfect role for you.
