About The Facility
Protecting and maintaining this level of clinical excellence is therefore central to everything LOC does. We have 28 treatment chairs in our treatment suites on Harley Street, along with 8 treatment chairs at 81 Harley Street, and 10 treatment chairs in LOC based at the Platinum Medical Centre (part of the Wellington Hospital). Job Description
This role is based at the Platinum Medical Centre, and the Sister will be responsible for ensuring that patients and visitors receive an exceptional level of service. You will provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality individualised care to patients / clients and relatives / carers, without supervision, in collaboration with the multi disciplinary team.

Duties & Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic clinical environment for all patients and their families who come to the area Co-ordinate all functions and activities to ensure a smooth running service to patients and their families and ensuring that the operational services and the patient pathway experience is first class Undertake the first level assessment of the needs of the patient and family. Develop and maintain clinical competency in cannulation, care of CVADs and drug administration techniques Facilitate enabling, continuity and consistency of the therapeutic effect of care through consultation with the patient, the family and other health care professionals Liaise and work closely with relevant Clinical Nurse Specialists / Clinic Doctor / Clinical Team / Consultants / Primary Care Teams in the provision of a professional critical care / cancer nursing service, and use skills identified for the post to provide a specialist input to the care that is planned for and delivered to individual patients Assess the educational and informational needs of the patient and family. This includes producing and using appropriate materials to ensure optimum understanding of nursing care and the likely outcome Enable the patient and family to participate in the planning of care To assist with teaching in preparation for investigations, treatment and home care

Skills & Experience
NMC Registered Nurse Post registration qualification in Cancer/ Chemotherapy Nursing Recognised teaching, assessing, mentoring qualification Extensive experience within Cancer specialty with significant experience in the outpatient treatment setting Evidence of continuing professional development Evidence of management experience / training
