Job Description

ODP
Methley
£Competitive Depending on Experience

At Spire Healthcare, we provide the highest standards of care in clean, purpose-built facilities, set in pleasant surroundings. Our dedicated and highly trained team consistently achieves excellent results. For us it’s more than just treating patients, it’s about looking after people. As a member of our team, you’ll find we look after you too, with rewarding work and fulfilling opportunities.

As an ODP in our Methley Park Hospital, you’ll provide exemplary care for patients in need of perioperative intervention. Taking on the specialist role in anaesthetics, you’ll support the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre. Working closely with the theatre manager and your dedicated colleagues, you’ll develop specialist practice in addressing each individual’s health and wellbeing needs. You will take particular care to ensure every patient understands how and why the team will be working together to make the difference they deserve.

A NMC or HPC Registered Nurse with a recognised Anaesthetic or ODP qualification, you have proven experience as a perioperative practitioner in multi-disciplinary teams. Used to applying your clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient cases, you have the confidence to challenge consultants - where appropriate - to influence evidence-based practice. Working knowledge of infection control and health and safety practice, and the use of equipment and medical devices, is essential. Caring and collaborative, you take pride in what you do.
