Job Description

Spire Healthcare

Anaesthetic and Recovery Practitioner (ODP/RGN)

Cardiff

£24,000 - £28,000 per annum + benefits

37.5 hours, flexible over 6 days, (work over 4 or 5 days)

Spire Cardiff Hospital has been established since 1982 and is based in Pontprennau, Cardiff with easy access to the M48, East of Cardiff.  It is the largest independent acute hospital in Wales and offers a wide range of treatments from diagnostic imaging to major surgery.  Spire Cardiff Hospital is the only private provider in Wales to offer full intensive care (ICU) facilities which enables our patients to undergo complex procedures with the assurance of the highest quality care from our highly skilled specialist staff.  There is also a new Cardiology Catheterisation Theatre and refurbished Endoscopy Suite, providing exemplary care.

Considerate and compassionate, you will provide excellent care to patients, before, during and after their operations. This rewarding, patient-focused role will see you assessing patients’ health and wellbeing, preparing equipment, and assisting with the management of care in the operating theatre. Committed to continuous improvement, both in yourself and others, you’ll act as a role model, take every opportunity for training and play a key role in developing our perioperative service.

You’ll share our passion for caring, with considerable experience of working in teams as a registered nurse or operating department practitioner. You’ll have developed impressive skills through practice and additional training. Fully aware of health and safety and infection control requirements, you will have strong planning, organisation, and problem solving skills and knowledge of relevant medical devices and equipment. Above all, you’ll be a capable communicator, with the empathy to support our patients throughout their care.

If you’re keen to treat people, rather than patients, we need you on our team.
