Job Description

ODP (Recovery)
Spire Cambridge
Equivalent to Band 6 dependent on experience
Full Time

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital offers comprehensive private hospital services in a comfortable and relaxed environment to patients from Cambridgeshire and East Anglia. We believe it's our people that really set us apart - from the very best medical professionals, to our attentive and highly experienced support staff.

The Hospital is going through a £10 million refit which will modernise our 5 Theatres and 44 bedded ward. Also included in the upgrade will be the Imaging and short stay departments, increasing the number of pods to 19. The Endoscopy suite will also be JAG compliant level and there will also be an extended 2 bed recovery unit.

Join our caring and compassionate team, and you will provide exemplary perioperative care to patients within the recovery stage. Working across a complex and changing workload, you will build relationships with patients, assess patients’ health and wellbeing through observation, discussion and the use of technical methods and plan and deliver care. You’ll also make full use of the learning opportunities available at Spire so you can enhance the quality of care delivered to patients. It’s a chance to play your part in the continuous improvement of your department.

Known for your pride, enthusiasm and warmth, you will be a NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered operating department practitioner with experience in a caring role. If a nurse, you will ideally be studying towards a post-registration qualification in perioperative practice, if an ODP, a post-registration qualification in clinical specialism. A flexible and adaptable team player with sound professional knowledge, you’ll be keen to grow, develop and progress with us and pass on your skills to others. Your ability to put our patients at the heart of everything you do will make you stand out.

Become one of our people, and we offer great training and development opportunities together with an excellent range of benefits, including a personal pension scheme, private medical insurance and a range of entertainment and retail discounts.
