HMP YOI Portland is an adult/young offenders institution accepting males aged 18 and over; with an operational capacity of 580+.

About the Job

As the Clinical Lead you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operational management of all primary care services across the prison. Managing primary care service level agreements, ensuring performance-monitoring standards are adhered to and the highest standards of care are maintained.
As part of this role, you will participate in the on-site and on-call rota to provide cover for the service and support the Deputy Head of Healthcare and Head of Healthcare across the range of their duties.

The Job Requirements

As an RGN, you will have a real passion for developing the teams skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.
You will have proven post nursing registration experience and experience of key working and care planning.
As well as evidence of team leadership and supervision of junior staff; participating in planning and/or management meetings at a senior level.
You will also have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, within a primary care setting.

If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!

This is a full-time vacancy, working 37.5 hour per week across 7 days on a rota-basis.
