Job Details

Mental Health Liaison Practitioner - RAID (Rapid Assessment Interface and Discharge) Team

Following a successful bid to extend the liaison service at the Lister and Watford Hospitals we are seeking to recruit experienced mental health nurses.

The teams will be extending their hours of operation to 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

You will be based at either the Lister or Watford Hospital. The successful candidate will work within a Multi-Disciplinary Mental Health Liaison model that focuses on early identification and rapid response of Service Users presenting in A&E or admitted to hospital. The team also provides ongoing training to general hospital staff with regards to the recognition and treatment of mental health problems.

The team is also developing a community outreach function to specialist multi-agency health and social care teams providing support to acutely/chronically unwell people in the community. This role will require some local travelling.

The team will work with adult Service Users and would welcome qualified nurses with experience of acute assessment in a community setting to ensure faster decision making and earlier discharge. Both teams would particularly welcome applicants with experience of assessing older people.

For further details and informal visit please contact Phil Byrne, RAID Manager on 07771 513192.
