Job Summary

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager to join our multidisciplinary team at Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre. While you will be based at Emersons Green, you will also take responsibility for Devizes NHS Treatment Centre and will be expected to travel between the two sites.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Nursing and Clinical Services you will provide leadership to all nursing and professional staff at both Emersons Green and Devizes Treatment Centres, working closely with the Hospital Director, Clinical Governance Manager and Medical Director.

Your role will include developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing/professional strategy, demonstrating year on year improvements in the quality of service and which has improving patient experience as a core principal. In addition, you will be accountable for ensuring that clinical services operate within the framework of financial budgets and improvement targets in each clinical service.

The core elements of the role are:

• Ensuring high quality patient care
• Developing and retaining staff
• Business efficiency

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse Part 1
• Degree in a related subject
• Experience of continued professional development

Additional Information

At Emersons Green, we offer day case and in-patient surgery across the following areas: dental surgery, ear, nose and throat procedures, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, minor orthopaedic surgery, diagnostic imaging, pain management, ophthalmology, and urology. In addition we also provide diagnostic services, using the latest X-ray and ultrasound technology.

• Budgetary and financial management experience
• Experience in the development of nurses

• Experience of managing complaints and serious incidents
