Description: Our client, a specialist nursing home group who have been established for over 25 years and are still today owned and operated as a family business, currently have an exciting opportunity for a deputy matron/manager to join their highly regarded team of nursing professionals.

Within the role as Deputy Matron you will be required to work between two homes in Carnforth and Slyne. The homes have impressive facilities and a level of hospitality that is second to none, both homes offer a first class care package to all patients and care for patients in Nursing Care, Dementia Care, Behavioural Support & Short Stay.

The opportunity is a full time permanent role, across a 7 day rota, working 8.5 hour shift patterns. The main duties of the role will include:

Providing cover for 12 hour nursing shifts as required.

Completion of monthly care plan, medication and CMS audits. Note any areas of concern and implement corrective action liaising with the Matron.

Assist the Matron with staff supervision and appraisals when requested & carry out annual medication competencies with nursing staff.

Person Specification: All applicants must hold a UK nurse qualification and be eligible to work in the UK, along with a current valid PIN. You will also possess experience within a senior or deputy manager level role.
