About The Facility

HCA Healthcare UK - World's largest private acute and complex care hospital group and winners of 'The Best Private Healthcare provider 2016' and 'Best International Cancer Services' provider 2016

The Lister Hospital has an international reputation for providing high quality private healthcare to patients across a wide range of specialties. For medical professionals that value great training and career progression opportunities, an open-door management policy and a real team spirit, it's the career destination of choice.

In May 2017, The Lister Hospital opened a brand new Inpatient Oncology/Acute Medical unit at the main hospital site to support the opening of the Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) new chemo day case suite in the heart of Chelsea.

Our six bedded Critical Care Unit provides general surgery for CC Level 1, 2 and 3 patients and is growing and developing all the time with state of the art equipment. Our CCU is small compared to other CCU services, however this will provide you with the opportunity to really focus on providing a high level of 1 to 1 quality care to our patients and making a difference to their health and wellbeing, whilst also allowing you to focus on other aspects of the unit, where you can drive change and improve the service we offer our patients.

Job Description

As the Sister/Charge Nurse you will oversee the day to day running of the Critical Care Unit working closely with the wider senior team to ensure a high standard of patient care at all times. You will be a key player in the development of the department and be part of the working group that will implement change initiatives aimed at improving nurse lead guidelines to create a more effective working environment. Still involved with clinical assessments, you will also supervise the operational running of the unit and the training and development of the team, evaluating the skills mix across the CCU. This role will also see you rotate between the unit and our outreach service.
