Up to £32,575 gross per annum

Location: Camerton, Bath

37.5 hours per week full or part time considered

The National Osteoporosis Society wants a brighter future for people affected by osteoporosis and fragility fractures. We are the only UK-wide charity dedicated to raising awareness of bone health, and improving the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and fragility fractures.

The charity provides a nurse led helpline for the general public, health and social care professionals giving specialist information on osteoporosis and related issues.

Do you feel ready to develop your knowledge in a specialist field supported by leading clinical experts in osteoporosis?  Do you value working as part of a friendly, cohesive, highly motivated and supportive team? Would you enjoy the challenge of using your nursing knowledge and skills in an innovative and unique way?

Successful applicants will join a team of nurses, based in Camerton to provide information and support via telephone, email and letter and will contribute to other information resources within the charity.

If you have a proven record of good practise in nursing for at least 5 years’ post registration and would like to join us we would love to hear from you. Experience in a related field such as pain management, care of the elderly, rheumatology, orthopaedic nursing or helpline work is desirable but not essential.  Applicants should have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications as well as strong IT skills.

You will have the benefits of a thorough in-house training and mentorship programme, with a strong emphasis on developing and maintaining current expert knowledge of osteoporosis and bone health.  Other benefits include contributory pension scheme, free car parking and a pleasant working environment in the Somerset countryside.

Completed applications should be emailed to Recruitment@nos.org.uk by 14th August 2017. Interviews will take place at Camerton week commencing  4th September.
