A Registered Children's Nurse is required for the Specialist Children’s Services. The post is a joint post spanning the Community Children's Nursing Team and the Main Stream Nurse trainers.

You will be working three days with the Community Children's Nursing Team and two days with Nurse Trainer Team. You will be expected to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to the 0-19 year age group in the community and Schools by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.

Under direction of the Team Leader you will be responsible for the management of a caseload and/or leading and managing team of qualified nursing staff and Health Care Support Workers. You will have continuing responsibility for delegation of work to team members, supervision of staff and service improvement.

You will be an NMC registered nurse with relevant experience of working with children, young people and families. You will support the Specialist Community Paediatric Nursing service in delivering care to service users / families within the caseload from the Community Children’s Nursing Team and the Main stream Nurse trainers team.

As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's pre employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current NMC registration, in line with projected start date for this post, may not be shortlisted for interview.

This post requires PVG Scheme Membership with Disclosure Scotland. It is essential that all applicants have significant post registration and community nursing experience. You must have current driving licence.
