We are seeking caring, compassionate practitioners to join us in leading the delivery of a quality service to school age children and their families within St Helens. 

The role provides the opportunity to combine targeted clinical input to identified children whilst coordinating the delegation of workload to other members of the skill mix team.

Applicants must have current NMC registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Health) i.e. SCPHN qualification. 

The ability to evidence recent clinical knowledge within this area of work is required as well as a thorough understanding of current policy pertaining to the health and safeguarding of the school-age population is vital. In addition applicants must have a sound knowledge of the public health agenda in relation to local and national targets for children and young people is vital.

IMPORTANT: The ability, means and willingness to travel between multiple sites in the course of performing duties is essential. The role will involve regular travel across all healthcare organisation sites in the North West Boroughs catchment area. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
