The role is Full time 37.5 Hours per week. Applicants are required to be flexible regarding shift pattern.
Role Description:
*Act as a role model for the ward team to encourage achievement of the highest clinical quality standards; and in accordance with Best Practice
*To ensure that standards of patient care are consistently maintained at all times in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures as a skilled member of the nursing team;
*To promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors;
*To assist the Ward Lead Nurse in delivering the Hospital's strategic objectives for the ward and nursing service generally.
*To provide high quality, holistic nursing care to the agreed BMI Healthcare Standards
*Maintain good communications with Consultants and multi-disciplinary colleagues
*Assist the senior nurse on shift in the efficient use of all resources including staffing
*Deliver direct patient care within agreed BMI Healthcare policies and protocols
*Provide a visible presence as a registered nurse to support all other staff members.
*Support nurse in charge when action is required to meet the changing needs of individual patients including dependency level and changes in bed occupancy
*Support the implementation of new products
*Ensure clear communication and liaison with other departments.
Applicants must have the following:
*Must be a Registered Nurse, with current NMC registration.
*Experience of delivering high quality care in an acute hospital environment
*Highly motivated and keen to continue professional development
*Good organisational and planning skills
*Good interpersonal skills
