About the role:

The Emirates Hospital Group, are opening a new state-of-the-art clinic in the Harley Street area of London. Priding themselves on the highest level of clinical care provided by their caring professional staff and team of experienced and dedicated Consultants. To deliver the absolute finest service and quality care, they are searching for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join their team who will oversee one theatre and two recovery beds. This role would suit someone looking for their first management role although will have some supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

- Supporting the theatre unit team to ensure surgeons' and the patients' needs are fulfilled in an efficient / effective manner and to a high standard of care and safety.

- Coordinating and organising the theatre to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.

- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement and maintenance of quality patient care and customer service practice by the use of evidence based Preparing the theatre and equipment prior to use according to the needs of the patient Preparing patients and providing assistance during procedures.

- Monitoring, ordering, receiving and checking stock items incl. equipment / instrument / drugs.

- Performing mandatory surgical checks before procedures, as well as monitoring patient during and after.

- Providing leadership and development to staff within own scope of practice, orientating new staff to the department and assisting them to integrate with the team.

- Promote and maintain a positive learning environment for all staff Identify and implement, where possible, business development opportunities and to understand the healthcare market and customer needs.

- Co-ordinate staff and resources to meet departmental needs, within budget.

About you:

- Registered Practitioner.

- Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner within a private healthcare setting, ideally in a general or plastic surgery background.

- Experience in caring for VIPs, high net worth individuals and international patients.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organised and motivated Adaptable in a small team environment

- Experience of commissioning services is desirable.
