Their hospital in Harrow are looking for a Registered Nurse to join their Spinal Ward.This post is full-time for 37.5 hours per week, this role incorporates working within the Spinal Ward team. The hospital provides services to adults and children from 16 years of age.
The hospital has five theatres, an endoscopy suite, a Level 3 Intensive Care unit and offers a self-pay, walk-in Urgent Care Centre, open 7 days a week, from 8am - 8pm.
Key Competencies and responsibilities include:
You will need to be a qualified Nurse (with a current NMC qualification);
Having gained experience within an acute care setting and spinal surgical ward is essential;
You will need to provide a high standard of care under the direction of the Ward/ Department Sister Manager to supervise more junior team members;
Participating in all aspects of surgical practice including the pre-operative and postoperative care of the patients; and
Strong communication to effectively deliver complex and sensitive information to patients, and being able to assess and implement care plans is key within this role.
