Their hospital in Orpington are looking for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Bariatric department. The successful candidate will join a well-established surgical / HDU / Bariatric Team.

The hospital is in a beautiful location close to the motorway network. This is a full-time role for 37.5 weeks. You will be required to work a flexible shift pattern Monday to Friday with rota'd weekend work.

Key Competencies and responsibilities include:

You will need to be a qualified Nurse with surgical knowledge gained within bariatrics field.

You will be responsible for providing high quality, cost effective clinical care for a caseload of patients who will have undergone bariatric surgery,

Ensuring that standards of care are maintained at all times, and all agreed operational policies are followed.

Understanding the the long term psychological and physical impact that weight loss surgery may have on an individual patient and being able to handle sensitive conversations is critical to this role.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently is required.
