Registered Nurses, Intensive Care – Macquarie University, Sydney

MUH is seeking a dynamic, confident, experienced professional for the position of Registered Nurse Intensive Care. This 20 bed unit encompasses cases across a broad range of specialties including Adult Neurosurgery, including Cerebrovascular / General Neurosurgery / Spinal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Head and Neck Surgery and General Surgery.

As an experienced practitioner you will display drive and enthusiasm for the delivery of expert clinical care within ICU. You will demonstrate a commitment to actively participate in and facilitate ongoing learning and development as well as a commitment to mentoring and the support of an inclusive nurturing work environment. 

As a successful candidate you will possess:

• Minimum of 4yrs experience in an Adult Intensive Care area environment 
• Ability to work unsupervised within ICU to an advanced standard and demonstrate critical thinking and initiative  
• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies
• Proven commitment to actively participate in and facilitate ongoing learning and development
• Proven commitment to mentoring junior staff and the support of an inclusive nurturing work environment. 

Post graduate qualifications in Critical Care or relevant specialty area as well as experience in a leadership role such as clinical team leader/co-ordinator will be highly sought.

We offer fabulous employee benefits including base salary from approx. £43,000 to £52,000 plus shift penalties, 9.5% superannuation, up to 6 weeks annual leave and access to generous salary packaging (tax free) arrangements.
