Fertility Nurse Specialist

The Aberdeen Centre for Reproductive Medicine currently is seeking an experienced RGN to join their small but specialist fertility nursing team. Applicants must be on part 1 of the NMC register and have recent experience in acute general nursing. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and highly respected Fertility service.

Experience in women’s health/pelvic ultrasound would be advantageous, however not essential as full training will be provided. The post is full time (37.5 hours per week); predominately 9-5 Mon-Fri with occasional Saturday working required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the post holder must be able to quickly gain specialist skills, in addition to the trust and confidence of those living with the experience of infertility. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a highly motivated, caring team in the fast growing speciality of fertility.

The salary for this post is Band 5/6 dependent on experience - this post will initially be a band 5 (£22,440 – £29,034), however on gaining appropriate skills and competence (usually over a two year period) would progress to Band 6. Should the successful candidate already have the necessary skills/experience, they will be appointed at band 6 (£26,830 - £35,993)
