Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week

This community based role seeks to develop a specialist caseload of children with epilepsy with complex health needs and, or complex epilepsy, to provide support in their various community settings with our community paediatricians, our local children’s community services and in partnership with acute providers, so they spend less time in hospital and more time at home and school or college, enjoying a better quality of life and improved outcomes.

The post provides an exceptional opportunity to work closely with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, who are funding the post and will work with the successful applicant to develop the nurse specialist’s career and professional portfolio as a Roald Dahl nurse. All applicants will be eligible to access the Roald Dahl Professional Development Package which will help them to develop their career and the service. Additional benefits include access to a national network of Roald Dahl specialist nurses and the opportunity to participate in Roald Dahl Charity activities, including case presentations, publications, fundraising and annual meetings.
