Our client is a successful and forward looking independent Collegiate of four schools with 1500 students aged between 3 months and 19 years old. They are located in North Yorkshire between the towns of York and Harrogate.

They are now seeking a qualified RGN, RMN or RSCN to take up the post of part time School Nurse to work 20 hours per week on a rota basis, with occasional weekend or evening cover shifts if necessary. The successful candidate will have a positive and friendly disposition as well as being flexible and compassionate. The successful candidate will work closely with boarding staff, teachers and support staff and will provide a caring and efficient first aid and medical service for students. You will provide an effective, high quality service of nursing care to pupils and first aid care to all member of the school community. You will also be expected to promote the physical and mental health of all students.
The successful candidate should have:
·A minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience
·An understanding of the necessity for strict confidentiality
·Enthusiasm and a keen interest in adolescent health
·Previous experience of working with young people and the skills to deal with them with sensitivity and humour
·Previous experience of working with children or young people with mental health issues would be an advantage
·Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi task
·The ability to communicate well with a wide range of people
·To be friendly, warm, approachable and a good listener with the flexibility to work as part of a team as well as independently.
