An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse to join the Brighton Station Health Centre. Brighton Station Health Centre is a NHS funded service operated by Care UK, one of the largest independent providers of health and social care in Britain. The centre operates 3 distinct services comprising of a Walk In Centre, GP Practice and Sexual Health clinic, we are a busy centre so you can be sure to have variety in your working day. The centre offers a range of comprehensive services to registered patients and walk-in services for the treatment of minor injuries and ailments, without having to make an appointment. The centre is open every day from 8am to 8pm, including all bank holidays and is set in the exciting city of Brighton just outside Brighton Station for an easy commute. If you are travelling from further afar, for example; just 10 minutes from Burgess Hill, 20 minutes from Haywards Heath or a 50 minute journey from Victoria can take you right to the door step. As the Lead Nurse, you'll be responsible for: • Providing clinical and professional leadership to all nursing staff whilst working in partnership with the Service Manager, Lead GP and other healthcare professionals. To do this you'll lead by example and facilitate training and development for members of staff. • Utilising your clinical knowledge and leadership skills to deliver safe, effective and high quality care within the services, ensuring that all services are quality compliant and that KPIs are met. • Collecting evidence to meet CQC outcomes and assisting the Registered Manager in managing CQC assessment visits.

The Requirements



In order for you to be considered for the job, as a minimum we are looking for you to: • Be a qualified RGN with valid NMC PIN number • Hold a MSc in a health related subject, or be working towards an ANP MSc or equivalent • Hold an non-medical prescribing qualification (V300) • Have previous experience at a senior level within an Acute or Primary Care setting. • Be experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams • Have experience of performance management and supervision of clinical and junior staff • Have experience of investigating clinical incidents and monitoring clinical KPIs. • Hold a teaching and assessing qualification and have previous experience in teaching and assessing others It would be nice for you to have any one of the below, although these are not essential: • A research/audit qualification at level 3 • Financial/budgetary experience • Experience in applying HR policy to staff related issues

This is a permanent full time job which is 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri with occasional weekend shifts.
