In partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity we are proud to announce that the Trust have an opportunity to offer a post as a Roald Dahl Paediatric Epilepsy Specialist Nurse.

We are looking for a highly skilled Nurse dedicated to supporting patients and their families across both acute and community pathways, participate in teaching and education, working alongside junior staff and students as well as the community nursing team. You will act as a role model and display effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Our ideal candidate must be able to use their knowledge, skills and expertise to provide clinical assessment, treatment and management plans for this group of patients. The post holder will also be required to work closely with the multidisciplinary team, ward teams and community to provide the best outcome for patients. This will include running nurse-led clinics within the Trust.

If you are motivated and passionate about delivering high standards of care to this patient group, have excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills, and looking for a new challenge, then this may be the role for you. 

We are committed to continuing your professional development - the division is supported by a Paediatric Development Nurse and we have close links with the local universities. Good CQC results coupled with good narrative form several Peer Reviews. Good team work and collaborative planning for the patient journey and cross-site working.

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity helps to provide the best possible healthcare for over 12,000 seriously ill children & young people and their families in the UK. The Charity provides an infrastructure to support Roald Dahl nurses which includes professional training grants and a network of Roald Dahl nurses across the UK recognised as delivering a high standard of care to local children and their families.
