Acute Adult Inpatient Teams

Salary: Band 5

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Oxford and Aylesbury

We are looking for mental health nurses that will thrive in a busy inpatient environment and are committed to developing their skills and knowledge to be able to provide caring, safe and excellent care.

This role will include you working as the Named Nurse for individual patients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and to participate in clinical team meeting reviews.  Students are a key part of our teams and you will provide mentorship to learners on the ward. You will have a clear understanding of clinical supervision and participate in reflective practice groups with team members.

You will have a good knowledge base, excellent communication skills and a flexible and positive attitude. You should have a caring, non-judgmental and inclusive attitude and be committed to the delivery of safe, high quality care.

You will receive regular clinical supervision, and will be actively encouraged to undertake further training and study for you to continue to develop professionally. This is an opportunity to demonstrate and develop your skills and abilities, whilst continually improving services and providing hands on quality care to our service users.

The work can be demanding but we have established very effective ways of working with our patients to help them identify and reach their goals whilst keeping them safe and supporting them onwards to a new life in the community.
