Job Details

There's care - and then there's Barchester care. We'll look to you to provide the leadership that ensures each and every resident in your charge not only has the very best mental health and nursing care, but also has the chance to get the most they possibly can from life, day in, day out. A hands-on leader, you'll not only supervise the delivery of the highest-quality nursing care to residents - you'll provide it, too, along with impeccable clinical leadership to members of your team, from nurses to carers.

Whether you're assessing the needs of a new resident, making sure all safeguarding policies are being acted on, taking part in audits, or ensuring we're keeping scrupulous records, you'll make sure your team is reaching the highest standards. We'll also look to you to manage the administration of medicines by your team in line with NMC regulations, and manage stock levels effectively. Above all, you'll be an inspirational leader, supporting, supervising and mentoring your team at every turn, and ensuring they have the clinical training they need to provide the very best care.

You'll be equipped with a current NMC registration, RN (Mental Health) and evidence of continued professional development and a mentor or supervision qualification. You've already spent time working with older people, and have experience of providing superb care to those with dementia. A natural leader and teacher, you've also acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. A talented problem solver, with a can-do attitude and a resilient nature you have a track record of delivering real improvements in care.

Up-to-date with the most recent clinical practices and evidence of continual professional development, you also have professional experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments. You'll also need an understanding of regulatory frameworks, as well as DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical Guidelines.

In return, you'll receive one of the best reward packages in the care sector. As well as a competitive salary, this will include:
* Free learning and development
* Profit-share scheme
* Childcare vouchers
* Retail discounts
* Leisure savings
* Holiday and travel discounts
* Rewards points
* Mentor bonus scheme
* Offer to pay Tier 2 visa application fee for eligible nurses*

If you have the unique qualities required for this exciting role and want to work with an organisation that provides the type of care you'd expect for your loved ones, we would welcome your application.

We are always looking for dedicated Bank Nurses, ask how you can join our team.

Closing date for all applications: 7 March 2018
