About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Healthcare Innovation (HI) Directorate as our Healthcare Professional Education & Engagement Lead. You’ll support the delivery of the BHF Strategy, improving outcomes for those living with or affected by cardiovascular disease (CVD).

In this key leadership role you will drive our stakeholder engagement impact with Healthcare representative bodies and clinical leaders at a national and local level to support and empower the UK CVD workforce taking forward opportunities to maximise our reach and impact. 

Leading the growth of the BHF professional development programme through development and design of our Alliance membership programme, our Leadership Programme for Healthcare Professionals and strengthening our membership through our networks for change / Communities of Practice nationally and locally.

About you

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working with senior stakeholders. You’ll have leadership experience in the NHS, Health Education provision, education commissioning or a Health charity as well as knowledge of health care issues relating to CVD, relevant national legislation and guidelines and good practice with heart health issues. 

Experienced at leading or developing a membership based programme or service as well as experience of Professional Clinical Workforce development and education initiatives, you'll have strong relationship management skills at various levels, able to build strong working relationships quickly.

You'll be able to identify strategic opportunities and develop effective plans to achieve goals, with the ability to inspire trust in others as well as motivate and inspire others and able to work as part of a complex team structure.

Please note there will be significant travel across the UK in this role.
