SCHOOL NURSE MANAGER - YORK
NHS band 7 equivalent plus benefits
Our client is a dynamic, forward-looking HMC independent school for day and boarding pupils based a few minutes' walk from the historic centre of York.
A vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated and committed nurse to take the lead role in developing the School's medical service and in ensuring the health and welfare of the school community. The School places a strong emphasis on the quality of its pastoral care and the nursing team is an integral part of this.
This is a new role and they are seeking a registered nurse with substantial experience in a school, community or GP-based nursing role. The role demands exceptional people skills, and attention to detail together with energy and enthusiasm and the willingness to go the extra mile.
The post is term time only plus 6 weeks. Basic working hours are 37.5 hours per week (which will include evening and weekend working) on rotating shifts between the hours of 6.30am - 7.00pm. A competitive salary, based on qualifications and experience, is offered (equivalent to Band 7 on NHS Agenda for Change pay scales, pro-rata).
