Have you considered using your healthcare skills in a custodial setting? Then look no further! If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding Healthcare Assistant role and want to develop your clinical care package skills in an environment where no two days are the same then this could be the new job for you! To contribute and support delivery of primary care within a secure environment, by providing nursing care, implement clinical care packages, while working unsupervised. This is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week across 7 days a week on rotational basis including weekends and Bank holidays. HMP the Verne is an Immigration and Removal Centre, based in Portland, Dorset. Care UK manages the healthcare services at HMP the Verne.

About the Job

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. As well as delivering social care to identified patients and providing all aspects of personal care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfill their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on wellbeing promotion clinics.

The salary for this role is £18,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
