The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is an aspiring District General Hospital working towards teaching status.

As a Trust, we have recently secured £312 million pounds of funding to undergo a significant reconfiguration. Once the changes have been finalised, we will benefit from modern facilities, new equipment, and increased capacity in our emergency department/departments. We have a lovely family-feel about us and are committed to the development of all our staff. We consist of 2 acute hospitals split across two sites -just 20 minutes’ drive apart. The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

As part of the organisational development strategy, the Trust has implemented a leadership development programme to enhance the skills of managerial staff, for the benefit of patients, staff and the public.

Working with Staffordshire University, the Trust supports an accredited Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma (by negotiated learning) programme. All modules are delivered at Masters Level and can count towards a Masters qualification, should you wish to continue studying.

For newly qualified nurses, we have a strong preceptorship programme, underpinned by clinical competencies and rotational. Your learning will be supported by a practice development nurse in A&E and specialist nursing roles in resuscitation and majors.
