Job Summary
We have an opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our inpatient team at Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre in Chesterfield. At Barlborough we are passionate about creating an exceptional experience for all patients, and are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of quality and safety. We believe in treating patienrs as quickly and carefully as possible, helping them to feel better, faster. Our clean, modern and comfortable hospital specialises in orthopaedic surgery, including hip, knee, shoulder and elbow, foot and ankle, hand and spinal procedures. We also provide an ophthalmology service.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will deliver a high standard of patient care supported by evidence based practice. Responsibilities include: • Working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff • Carrying out patient assessments and ensure that patients are medically fit for the surgery. • Taking responsibility for initiating discharge planning arrangements and undertaking care activities when required • Undertaking assessment of baseline observations, referring problems to relevant members of primary and secondary health care teams, taking appropriate remedial action and ensuring patients are followed-up appropriately. Following clinical assessment make appropriate recommendations regarding patient’s medical fitness for surgery, including suspension and referral of patients
Qualifications
• NMC Registered RGN 1
