The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a voluntary specialist Hospital for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat/Head and Neck disorders and a tertiary referral centre for Ophthalmology. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, professional leadership and strategic planning for the following post:

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER II

OPHTHALMIC OUTPATIENTS

(39 HOURS/1 WTE)

€48,570-€57,421

An exciting opportunity now exists for a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse to join our Ophthalmic Outpatients Department.

Essential requirements:

• Currently registered/eligible for registration with an An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland)

• Five years’ post registration experience

• Recognised management course or a commitment to undertake same

• Post registration qualification in ophthalmic nursing

• Relevant experience of working with ophthalmology patients in the OPD setting

• Evidence of continuing professional development

• High standard of written and verbal communication

• Ability to teach and competency in preceptorship

• Engagement in nursing audit and research

• Commitment to quality initiation in healthcare

• Competence in commonly used IT applications
