Location: Rachel House Children’s Hospice, Kinross

We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager for Rachel House who enjoys working as part of a team and is able to lead and motivate others to deliver high quality care and drive nursing care forward.

If you are enthused and passionate about delivering high standards of care to babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families, have excellent communication and negotiating skills, and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the role for you.

Would you like to use your skills and experience to make a real difference?

As Clinical Nurse Manager you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside a highly motivated and skilled team and to be part of an organisation where everyone is passionate about the work we do.

At Children’s Hospices Across Scotland, better known as CHAS, our ambition is to reach every family in Scotland who is living with the heartbreaking prognosis that their child is dying, and offer them our care and support to empower them to make the most of the short time they have together. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be instrumental in achieving this vision and shaping our future

You will, therefore, work with the Director for Children and Families, Medical Director and Associate Nurse Directors to develop CHAS clinical services in line with the CHAS Strategic plan.

The role is varied and requires a good understanding of the complex emotional and physical needs of the children and families. Palliative care experience would be an advantage.

You will have the ability to give guidance and provide leadership to effectively manage the nursing team and have a constructive approach to problem solving.

Are you interested in developing your career further?

So are we! Through a comprehensive induction programme and excellent opportunities for learning and professional development, we will support you to reach your full potential.

Qualifications and Experience

It is essential that you have a registered children’s nurse qualification and five years’ relevant post qualifying experience of working with and caring for babies, children or young people with complex nursing needs – which must also include four years’ line management experience.
