Nurse Practitioner

Freshford Practice Freshwell Health Centre is a seven doctor dispensing practice providing medical services for around 7,300 patients living in the mainly rural areas in and around the village of Finchingfield, Essex.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse practitioner to join our dynamic clinical team on a permanent basis at our purpose built site with excellent innovative facilities.  We have a highly supportive and strong team embedded in the local community rated Outstanding by CQC.

The ability to work independently is essential as the post holder will need to offer emergency care, treat minor illness, give patient advice and offer chronic disease management.   You will need the ability to prioritise and triage the needs of patients, making any referrals for further investigations where appropriate and in line with practice guidelines whilst ensuring clinical practice is safe and effective.   Excellent communication skills are essential as patient contact will be face to face or via telephone consultations. 

Primarily working in a solo capacity there may be times where the post holder will be asked to step in and support the nursing team when urgent cover is required.
