Description: This leading NHS Foundation Trust has been given a new contract to operate NHS111 non-emergency medical calls within the North East area.
As a result they have a number of opportunities for Clinical Advisors based at their modern facility in their Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service.
As a Clinical Advisor, you will be responsible for assessing callers with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions: advising them on home care management, next steps and referring them on to further care when appropriate. The computer-based clinical decision system 'NHS Pathways' will facilitate and support the advice given. This will be a developmental role and candidates will be supported to progress to a Senior Clinical Advisor post within an 18/24 month timeframe subject to evidence of a number of competencies.
This role involves working in a multidisciplinary team supporting each other to ensure that they provide high quality evidence based healthcare to the immediate needs of their patients. You will be required to show commitment to providing high quality service and continuous professional development. Candidates must be a Regulated Health Care professional with current registration. Registered with appropriate regulatory body, e.g. as a Registered General Nurse or HCPC registered.
Positions are full or part time and various shift patterns are available!
Person Specification Candidates will need to have post registration experience working within a regulated healthcare environment to include either, Registered General Nurse, Paramedic or other HCPC registered Healthcare Professional with a desire to work within an office environment.
