Description: This leading NHS Foundation Trust has been given a new contract to operate NHS111 non-emergency medical calls within the North East area.

As a result they have a number of opportunities for Senior Clinical Advisors based at their modern facility in their Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service in Newcastle..

As a Senior Clinical Advisor, you will be responsible for telephone assessment of health and clinical needs, utilising professional clinical judgement, supported by NHS pathways and other suitable clinical decision support systems across both 111 and 999.

The role requires generalist and specialist skills to assess and deliver care to patients across all age-groups. You will provide assessment, medication advice and health information supporting individuals to access the appropriate level of care including advice to manage their symptoms at home. You will be responsible for the supervision, teaching , precepting and mentoring of other staff which may include students, other clinicians and health advisors. You will be expected to support delivery of the national healthcare agenda, and represent the organisation in a timely and professional manner as and when required.

Positions are full or part time and various shift patterns are available!

There will also be an opportunity to work at a Southern base in the North East region

Person Specification Candidates will need to have substantial clinical experience across a range of settings with a professional healthcare qualification as either, Registered General Nurse, Paramedic or other HCPC Registered Healthcare Professional with a desire to work within an office environment.
