Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the cancer services team as a Senior Nurse. Serving a population of over 930,000 the Trust’s cancer activity is comparable to designated cancer centres, so if you thrive on a challenge and feel you can make a real difference to the care of cancer patients, this post may be for you.
The service deliver cancer services that are patient centred and responsive to the needs of our local patient population. The hospital provides a range of services including tertiary referral centre for complex colorectal cancer and head and neck cancers, level 3 hemato- oncology service. They provide onsite outpatient chemotherapy to a range of common cancers and work collaboratively with local cancer centres: Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Person Specification: We are looking for an exceptional individual with vision and energy to provide clinical leadership and service development to cancer services across the trust. You will be expected to provide supervision and leadership to the nursing team across all sites. You will work in partnership with the clinical and operational team to shape and deliver the strategic vision of cancer services.
You will have substantial cancer nursing experience (Solid tumour and /or haematological oncology) and a proven track record in implementing and sustaining change. You will lead with high visibility and possess a natural resilience for staff support and education. This post will provide excellent career progression opportunities in innovation and service improvement.
We are looking for an innovative, forward thinking Senior Cancer Nurse with drive, initiative and determination linked to deep and broad knowledge of cancer service.
