About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our new service, within General Practice and based in Brighton, working alongside the nursing team. Care UK is building on its extensive experience in Primary Care. We are currently designing and making plans to deliver a new model of care for general practice. Working with a leading Pharmacy Partner, the model aims to provide an enhanced general practice service to NHS patients through the use of technology, remote care and local clinical services delivered from our Pharmacy Partner sites. This new way of delivering general practice services in the UK will utilise Care UK’s extensive clinical contact centre capability as well as optimising patient experience and service quality through use of a comprehensive online capability. The job will involve: •Working collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients •Conducting new patient health checks •Taking blood pressure readings & blood samples and recording the information within the patients records. •Wound Care - dressing management and suture removal

The Requirements

Essential: •Previous experience with ECG's and Blood Pressure monitoring •Previous experience doing New Patient & NHS Health Checks •Previous experience giving dietary & alcohol advice •NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or other HCA Qualification •Have excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office •Previous experience of working within a Primary Care setting Desirable: •NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care •Experience with EMISWeb •Management of QOF domains & Enhanced Service Schemes •Experienced in phlebotomy •Smoking cessation •Experience in assisting with minor surgery procedures

We have a permanent job available and can consider applicants who are interested in full or part time.

The service is open 8am - 8pm 7 days per week, so we are looking for applicants who can be flexible to work between these times.
