Job Details
The Lister Hospital and its outpatient centres are located in the heart of Chelsea, and have consistently provided care and treatment in London for over 30 years. We offer access to leading consultants from London's top teaching hospitals and contemporary treatment, with several highly specialised units including fertility, gastroenterology and cardiology.
With 57 beds across three floors, we offer a specialised service, bespoke to our patient’s needs. Our six-bed critical care unit provides dedicated specialised care to seriously ill patients with a range of surgical or medical conditions.
Our Outpatients department offers a wide range of services and practice at the leading edge of medicine and provides flexible consulting options, as well as a range of support services and we continually re-invest in our facilities to deliver world-class private medical care. Our outpatient department at comprises 17 consulting rooms, three treatment rooms, one colposcopy room and a plaster room.
Our unit offers patients a number of procedures that can be provided in our private rooms or in one of our theatres. We cover with a wide range of surgeries; however the major of cases are IVF, Gynae, Urology, Vascular, plastics, infusions or thermoscan.
Job Description
As the Senior Staff Nurse in The outpatient dept. you will be expected to support with clinics, however you will also be expected to act as a role model to junior staff and provide advice and guidance when necessary. You will also work closely with the Sister and Manager to ensure the Unit provides the high quality nursing service to our patients expect.
This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £35,673 - £40,401 and will be dependent upon skills and experience. - Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient and family needs.
- Act as a clinical role model for all members of staff, demonstrating best practice at all times.
- Drive high standards of care, assisting with promoting development initiatives.
- Undertake extended roles such as IV cannulation and phlebotomy.
- Promote a learning environment at all times.
Skills & Experience
- RGN with valid NMC PIN
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ideally holding a mentorship qualification,
- Experience of being in charge.
- Outpatient experience
- Phlebotomy skills
