Care UK has been awarded a new contract for the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services across Suffolk and North East Essex. The IUC service provides a 24/7, 365 days a year non-emergency telephone service to over 1 million patients in the region. We are simplifying the patient pathway by utilising specialist clinicians who can give advice to patients based on their clinical capabilities, and we are now looking for a Dental Nurse to join the team, either on a permanent or a bank basis. You will be based out of our Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) in Ipswich You will be working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in the CAS which consists of GPs/ANPs, Registered Nurses, UCPs, Mental Health and Dental Nurses and Independent Prescribing Pharmacists and Pharmacy Advisors Within this job, you’ll be responsible for the below, all of which will be over the phone: • Providing safe and effective advice • Assessing patients and planning their care • As appropriate, referring patients onto other healthcare professionals/external agencies. You’ll also be responsible for: • Keeping accurate and immediate records of every interaction. • Carrying out audit activities to ensure continuous development of the service.

The Requirements

Essential: • Hold a National Diploma/Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent • Be registered with the GDC • Be an effective communicator, including listening and interpersonal skills. • Have the ability to work under pressure • Have an understanding of the telephone advice triage service Desirable: • Have experience of working in a multi-professional environment. • Have previous experience working within a community dental service • Be experienced with telephone triage/advice service • Have experience working independently.
