37.5 hours per week

Young Epilepsy is the leading national charity working exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people living with epilepsy and associated conditions, and is based on a 65-acre campus in Lingfield, Surrey, providing world class services.

In this key position, you will have an exciting part to play in the strategic planning, development and management of our health services across the organisation. At the centre of this role, you will be given the opportunity to develop the nursing team to ensure that the expertise provided is of the highest standards and that there is seamless service provision across departments.

To ensure this you will also be the Lead Nurse with responsibility for providing strong leadership to the nursing team and developing the nursing service within the multi-disciplinary framework.  To ensure consistency, the post holder will also be the registered manager with the CQC for nursing activities and be responsible for ensuring the compliance with relevant clinical standards, governance and NMC requirements.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with significant relevant post qualification experience, you will be a credible and strategic leader, able to provide the expertise and guidance to develop the services and deliver the highest levels of care within budget. Given the complex needs of the children and young people we support, you will need to be an Epilepsy Nurse Specialist or have the enthusiasm and commitment to undertake the relevant training and qualifications and be motivated to develop your role to meet the needs of the service in this area.

Excellent communication skills and great organisational ability are also essential, as well as the ability to manage conflicting demands and work as part of a team as well as independently.
