Job Description
You will report into the Outpatients Centre Manager and lead the paediatric service across all of the sites. You will work as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team using your clinical expertise to co-ordinate high quality care and treatment of patients. This is a Permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Core hours are 9am – 5::30pm (Monday - Friday) with flexibility and occasional early starts/late finishes. The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £45,000 - £52,000 and will be dependent upon skills and experience. Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for the Paediatric services across all of our outpatient sites, delivering a quality service to all patients and stakeholders • Identify areas of our service for development, then implementing and evaluating change using current research, audit and experience • Required to undertake the following tasks (to name a few): - Ensuring that paediatric nursing practice is in line with national standards - Writing and reviewing policies - Staff recruitment, appraisals, performance management - Risk Registers - Monthly Reports - Datix, Investigation Reporting
Skills & Experience
• Registered Paediatric Nurse • Teaching and Assessing and/or Mentorship qualification. Masters or working towards is highly desirable. • Varied experience in paediatric nursing, as some of the specialities covered at the sites are Orthopaedics, ENT, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gastro and Plastics to name a few • Experience of research and audit • Good organisational skills with the ability to flexibly respond to the needs of the service and the hospital • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, positive attitude and sensitivity • Commitment to Continual Professional Development as well as clinical governance and quality initiatives
