Job Details

Are you looking to work in a mental health environment? Are you looking for your next step in Nursing where you can help patients in an Urgent Care Clinical Hub? If so, then we have the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

As a Mental Health Nurse Advisor you will be responsible for giving advice and support to Health and Clinical Advisors working in the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) and manage calls from the clinical queue providing mental health advice to patients as and when it is required. You will need to use your clinical judgement and critical thinking skills to identify calls that may require further nurse assessment or referral to a GP, other primary care service or into secondary MH services at all times, and ensure that this is managed efficiently. You will be working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in the CAS which consists of GPs/ANPs, Registered Nurses, UCPs, Mental Health and Dental Nurses and Prescribing Pharmacists and Pharmacy Advisors.

Skills and Experience

You will be required to hold an RMN qualification and registration with the NMC and show evidence of previous experience of working with patients and understanding the needs of patients with mental health difficulties. You will ideally be able to prioritise your work load and be able to deliver to agreed time scales and standards at all times. Care UK’s Values • Every one of us makes a difference • Customers are at the heart of everything we do • Together we make things better

We have both permanent and bank jobs available, giving you the flexibility to choose how you would like to work. For permanent jobs, we can offer contracts up to 37.5 hours per week.

We can offer you:
•£18.67 per hour
•25 days annual leave + 8 public holidays (pro-rata)
•Company pension scheme
•Free online and face-to-face training
•Cycle to work scheme
•Childcare vouchers and online discounts

Care UK has been awarded a new contract for the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services across Suffolk and North East Essex. The job will be based at our Clinical Assessment Service in Ipswich.

The Mental Health advice service will be provided between the following hours: Monday to Friday - 14:30 to 22:30 Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays – 10:30 to 23:30
